Philipp Weichberger

(1888-1962)

Philipp Weichberger was born in Bremen in 1936. He was a painter of emotional abstractions, the depth of which is determined by different levels of color. His first artistic activity began around 1950. When he was 18 years old, War made a move to Paris, where he was at war until 1959 and through Galerie Europe. 1961 is called a small monograph with a text by Will Grohmann. From 1959 to 1965 the artist worked in Brussels and was heard in New York. In 1985 Philipp Weichberger began suicide in New York.

Weichberger had over 50 solo exhibitions in Europe and the USA as well as in Tokoyo. His works are shown in the Museum der Finch Col-lege, New York, Galerie Moderne Art, Munich, Museum von Stamford, Stamford, Connecticut, Musee D’Art Moderne, Tangier, Amherst College, Amherst, Connecticut, Wallraf-Richart-Museum, Cologne, Marymount College, Manhattan, New York, and corporate and private collections.
